As someone who likes vertical shmups, Rainchaser immediately caught my attention on the basis that it reminded me of some of Treasure's classic forays in the genre (such as Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga) due to how its multiple shot type weapon system works, as well as Battle Garegga due to its dark muted art style aesthetic. At the same time, Rainchaser also caught my attention on the basis that its demo has received stunning feedback from across the internet, with some Youtubers already hailing the (unfinished) game as being "the best new shmup in years".
I decided to interview Kornodd - the creator of Rainchaser - in order to find out a little bit more about his game, and also got to ask him as to what inspired him to make the project. Enjoy!

Can you tell me a little bit about yourself? Where are you from, how old are you, and what is your game development background?
Right now I live in Georgia, and I'm in my twenties right now. I didn't really have a game development background prior to Rainchaser - before that I was just drawing illustrations, so this whole thing has been my first attempt at branching off into something else.
