
This interview was originally conducted late last year, and although Ground Game Atelier (the studio behind the game The Time I Have Left) has officially disbanded since (due to it not receiving publishing support as well as not meeting its Kickstarter campaign funding goal), development on The Time I Have Left is set to continue, albeit as a side-project, with updates being regularly posted on the studio's website and social media channels.
At the time of the interview, Juan Estevez was busy trying to get publishing support, and was also trying to juggle his twin roles as Studio Head and Game Director at Ground Game Atelier (the now defunct indie studio that was based in Barcelona, Spain) in order to ensure that his pet project (The Time I Have Left) was able to get as much support as it possibly could. And whilst Ground Game Atelier was unable to get any publishing support, or meet its Kickstarter goal, that's not to say that what it's managed to achieve (using its own resources) isn't impressive. Indeed, those who have played the demo argue that the game looks amazing and is really unique.
Although Juan Estevez has suffered a significant setback since this interview took place, I sincerely hope that he is able to find the necessary support in order to finish his pet project and also get his studio back on course. In any case, here is the interview... Enjoy!

Juan, let's start from the beginning... Tell me a little bit about yourself and your studio, how long have you been in game development, and how did Ground Game Atelier get started?
Yeah, so I started designing games when I was a little kid. But the company was started about 3 years ago with my partner, Elias Maidanik, which is the time that we have spent working on The Time I Have Left, which is also the first game by the studio, and we've been working tirelessly on it.
